Sally Bollywood is a 2009 French-Australian two-dimensional animated series, which has been translated and sold to numerous countries around the world. Fifty-two episodes of thirteen minutes duration have been produced for the first series.[1] However, in Australia Seven Network airs two episodes together, as twenty-six half hour episodes.

The series revolves around a young Indian girl, who lives in a town called "Cosmopolis". Her father, Harry, is a private detective, which inspired Sally to start her own private eye service, S.B.I. (Sally Bollywood Investigations), located in the basement of their family home. She, along with the help of best friend Doowee McAdam, solve cases presented to them usually by children attending their school. Most cases see Sally and Doowee traveling around their local neighbourhood and using technology to help with their numerous investigations.[3]
The series is produced in France by Philippe Alessandri of Tele Images Kids and in Australia by Three's a Company and co-produced by France Télévisions. The series were developed in association with France 3 and Seven Network. The series is distributed internationally by Zodiak Entertainment Distribution. Fifty-two episodes were produced for the first series.[4]
